We learn the track which has been produced by Bernard Butler is finally Sit Down By The Fire. As we already know all the others tracks has been produced by Graham Sutton.

After a final suprise show at the Union Hall in Brooklyn New York on October 12th, The Veils’ US tour with Liam Finn which started early September came to en end. With more than 20 shows played in many different places (you can still read Sophia’s fantastic tour blog on the band’s Myspace), the US and Canadian fans were given a preview of the band’s new album, scheduled for release sometime in the new year.

Speaking of previews; The Veils’ official website was recently taken down and replaced with a temporary one, in which the band announced a new, improved and more frequently updated one with blogs and previews of new tracks, to be forthcoming (see their message below).
Let’s hope they won’t let us wait for too long..!

WELCOME

We thought an alternative point of contact to the dreaded myspace is a good idea and our last site was a little heavy on the gypsy hands and light on the info.

It looks like The Veils’ third album will not see the light of day until early 2009. According to Theveils.net member Piratelestat, who spoke with several band members after the Washington DC show on September 6th, both Henning and Dan have told her they’re hoping for a March release date.
No official release date or album title have yet been announced.

By the way, be sure to check out the wonderful blogs Sophia is writing on the bands Myspace page about their current US tour.

It was Sophia who reminded us on the band’s album journal that it was our favorite singer’s birthday on August 23rd. So, we’d like to wish Finn a (somewhat delayed) happy birthday on behalf of everyone at theveils.net!

A short video was posted showing a piece of a birthday cake. More interestingly, a snippet of what seems to be a new track can be heard in the background.

And finally (weren’t we all waiting for this?), an image showing Dan’s recording emotions was posted. Interestingly, his two most common emotions switch between throwing tantrums and being cautiously optimistic. We wish him all the best.
